i-Care focuses on feeding projects, providing home cooked meals for vulnerable children at Early Childhood Development institutions . i-Care also provides assistance with transport and upkeep of these institutions.
MIVUYO EDUCARE in Gugulethu informal settlement, Cape Town. Food, clothing, blankets and toys are provided for 100 children daily (babies up to age 5 years old). This Educare was started to keep children from roaming the streets and safe from sexual abuse. i-Care also sponsor coaches towards outings and looks after the maintenance of this facility. CLEVER KIDS Creche and Nursery School, Ruyterwacht, Cape Town. Two sisters started this creche from their home 15 years ago, when parents in this area could not afford creche fees. i-Care feeds 160 children daily with home cooked meals. Click here for more info
BLUE BUS PROJECT – Trauma Centre, Hindle High, Delft in Cape Town. Our partner, Intercape, converted a double-decker bus body for use as a trauma center to young people from the informal settlements of Blikkiesdorp and Tubelitsha. Programmes deal with teenage pregnancy, positive life skills, reading rooms, music appreciation and therapeutic drama classes. Click here for more info
OLIEVENHOUTBOSCH CHRISTIAN SCHOOL in Pretoria - Situated in the Olievenhoutbosch informal settlement outside Centurion, i-Care provides daily home cooked meals for 146 children, as well as blankets and free transport to events. Click here for more info
ERICA DAY CARE, Windhoek, Namibia - i-Care provides daily home cooked meals and assists with maintenance of the facilities, hosting 56 children and providing after care meals to 13 children. Click here for a video
OKALAWO CHILDREN’S VILLAGE & PEACE SCHOOL, Quelimane, Mozambique. i-Care provides 317 meals daily to Okalawo Children attending the Peace School throughout the school calendar.
LIFE CHILD, CRECHE, BLANTYRE MALAWI i-Care provides 60 children with daily meals at this creche.
MAKOSHA MASIPA CRECHE, Pretoria West – i-Care has a daily feeding scheme in place in this informal settlement, managed by Cindy Gambushe after Mama Magret Mokobeni passed away. i-Care also assists with toilet paper, maintenance, furniture and clothing for these 35 small children.
