Red Wines & Pinot Noir

There are many kinds of red grape grown in the Western Cape of South Africa, and you might find some more unusual varietals on some estates. Red wines are most often (but not always) matured in oak barrels, and the skins are left on. The result is a lovely red colouring from the skin, and a richness from the wood.

White Wines & Chardonnay Pinot Noir

Enjoy our Wonderful White Wines

White wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks, but some are later matured in wood barrels. One of the most notable differences between white wines is the woodiness. Wooded whites are usually yellower and rich, while those bottled straight out of steel tanks are more clear, with a crisp finish.

Gin, Vodka, Brandy & Cider

Relihan Distillery

This distillery is reviving an old tradition of distilling in a quiet corner of the Riebeeksrivier valley. Their philosophy is simple. They use only the best, locally sourced ingredients to create high-end gins for people who value the good things in life. They distill their gin by hand to be involved every step of the way. "It's an age old tradition for each Swartland farm to have a potstill. By producing fine spirits The Relihan Distillery is keeping an age old tradition alive and flourishing."

Diemersfontein 10 year old Potstill Brandy

This unique and limited amount is made from a blend of Chenin Blanc and Crouchen blanc grapes. The wine is double distilled in a hand-made copper pot still and aged in small French oak barrels for 10 years. Only a limited amount of 745 bottles are made and bottled each year.

Cluver & Jack gluten-free cider

As more people look to seek out gluten-free products that taste nice, we’d like to refer you to a craft cider'. Take a swig of Cluver & Jack gluten-free craft cider, and you’ll experience a variety of complex flavours and the overwhelming feeling of refreshment.

Bubbles, Rosé, Dessert & Port-Style Wines

Bubbles - Méthode Cap Classique (MCC)

Champagne is the sparkling bubbly from France and it can only be labelled and called champagne if the grapes are harvested in the Champagne region. MCC stands for Méthode Cap Classique and is the South African equivalent of champagne, following the same bottled fermented process that the French use, but because it's not French grapes, it can't be called champagne.

Rosé wines

Can be made still, semi-sparkling or sparkling and with a wide range of sweetness levels. Neither a white nor of the red variety, the rose is a pink wine produced from red grapes with minimal skins contact, almost similar to the white wine process.

Dessert Wines

Dessert wines are high quality sweet wines you’ll taste while exploring the vineyards of the Western Cape.
